Michalyn (Mikie) Steiner is a Longview native. She is a teaching artist and choreographer and works with local youth dancers and with artists in college, professional, and community theatre; she sits on the productions teams at Mainstage Theatre and Stageworks Northwest.

Art has impacted her by being the cornerstone of her work and one of the joys of her life. She believes the art that we see and how it affects us makes us human, has the power elevate stories of those with unique experiences to hers, and ultimately connects us to one another.
